This can be bought easily from any beauty supplies store. And it cost me some $2.50, I think.
I bought it because the sponge craze was in back then, and I really do (still do) enjoy using konjac sponge to clean my face. So I was wondering if such a traditional sponge can cleanse well.
I have never used such a big-holed sponge before, although I have seen it around for 20 years. And I had no idea what it feels like exactly. I got a shock when I first pulled this out of its plastic wrap, and touch it. It feels very dry!
And then I decided to wet it, put my nicest cleanser on it, and test it on my face!
OUCH! This is painful to use on the face.
And then I decided to try this on my body.
ARGH. It just does not do it. Too painful.
I have stopped using this sponge on myself altogether. And nowadays, it's really more of a scrub sponge to wash dirty toilet.
There is a reason why nobody ever talks about such sponges, now that I think about it.
Not good to use on yourself! 1/5.
I do wonder why this is in the beauty supplies store, and what it is really supposed to be used for.
Are you into using sponges to clean yourself, be it face or body? Do you have any specific sponge to buy?
